While the three of them, along with the manager, another employee, and the customer, go to the house of another employee who had not come to work, they find her dead. The house appears to have been robbed. Another tenant explains that she went to a convenience store after putting some clothes in the washing machine. He noticed this because the machine was making a different and loud noise. He also says there was a 5-minute break in between. Conan, through Sonoko who was sleeping, deduces that the employee is the murderer. She took the ticket, but the aprons between them were switched. And while she was trying to take the apron out of the washing machine, the other employee returned. She accidentally caused her death and staged a robbery.
